Founder: Anupama Kapoor
Anupama Kapoor is the Founder of Reboot, a Mentoring and Capacity Building Career Community of returning women professionals, with a vision to up-skill and equip them to sustain their return to work. She is a Women’s Workforce Participation SME and a Gender Intelligence facilitator, with over 20+ years of experience in diverse functions across the Services, Banking & ITeS industries, in Hong Kong, the US & India. In her long association with the corporate world, Anupama has held multiple Operational & Quality roles with large organizations such as Standard Chartered Bank and GE Capital India, with businesses in the US, UK & Australia. Additionally, she has led high impact, organization-wide improvement projects in the HR & Training arena. At GE she was trained, tested and Certified as a Six Sigma Quality Black Belt and has worked with large multi-functional teams across diverse Geographies and Cultures.
It was on her journey that the idea of Reboot took shape. She met an ever growing number of women who wanted to start, wanted to leave, wanted to re-join, constantly juggling, always guilt ridden and at battle with their ‘parallel lives’ Launching Reboot in 2013, was the logical conclusion for her. She is a passionate exponent for women’s economic empowerment and For Anupama, Reboot is an enabler that will bring more women back into the workforce, simultaneously raising their confidence and self- esteem, gaining their independence and equality.
Anupama is a Visiting Faculty at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and has co created and taught, India’s first full-time Post Graduate MBA for Returning Women. The programme was recently awarded global recognition for social innovation by AASCB. Anupama is now developing coursework on Gender for students at the Institute.
Anupama is a passionate gender advocate and a frequent speaker at seminars, round tables, summits, colleges, etc on Gender Issues and conducts workshops on Gender Mentoring, Understanding Gender & Masculinities. She has designed & facilitated mentorship programmes for women and has written on Women’s issues for Huffington Post, Mogul & for our in-house Rebootmag, amongst others.
She has been a Mentor with the Women in Business Mentoring Programme at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and has been recently featured in My Identity My Pride, as one amongst ‘51 Indian Women’ who are trying to make India a better place for Women.
Co-Founder: Gopika Kaul
Gopika is a content and digital media professional with over two decades of experience across diverse sectors in Hong Kong, U.S. and India. She has led large teams as head of multimedia content at indiatimes.com in New Delhi and Time Warner in New York. More recently, she was heading content and digital strategy for First Partners, a communications agency based in Noida, before she quit to join Reboot as co-founder. She feels strongly about bringing women back into the workforce and believes that there is a dire need to create an enabling ecosystem for women to return.
Gopika has written for the op-ed section for The Times of India, International Business Times, Huffington Post, Daily O and Qiddle, to name a few. Gopika is also the founder of Reboot Mag – the voice of Reboot – a space for healthy exchange of ideas, opinions and thoughts on issues closest to women’s hearts.
